INTERFAITH WORKS SHELTER MEALS
NBUMC members provide and serve meals for two weeks each year to the Homeless Shelter run by Interfaith Works at the Interfaith Works Women’s Center. Nourishing ‘home-prepared’ dinners are served to 36 residents each night by teams of four volunteers, and supplies for breakfasts and lunches are provided during the week.

BETHESDA HELP FOOD PANTRY

SOC at NBUMC provides year-long storage space for food supplies donated to Bethesda Help, an organization that works with several county agencies to provide food support to families in need. Quarterly food drives are organized soliciting donations of non-perishable protein and other food to Bethesda Help.
REFUGEE SUPPORT
NBUMC joins with other members of the local faith community partnering with local interfaith refugee support groups like the New Neighbor Interfaith Alliance in assisting refugees settling in our area from countries worldwide with needed services and supporting individual families in becoming self-sufficient. We have recently expanded the program to support Afghan refugees.
