Mission/Community Outreach
The Missions Program is a vital ministry of NBUMC. During the year there are two major fundraisers to benefit the church's mission program:
- The Spring Rummage Sale and the Fall Community Flea Market. Donations and volunteer efforts are provided to local, national and international organizations.
- NBUMC has annual commitments with the Community Based Shelter, part of Community Ministries of Montgomery County; Drs. Ellen and Jeffrey Hoover, administrators of the mission in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo; and AHEAD, Inc. based in Bethesda, Maryland.
