 TWIGS (Together We Initiate Great Service) The TWIGs (Together We Initiate Great Service) is a service oriented fellowship group for 5th, 6th and 7th graders. The group meets twice a month on Sunday after the Children's Moment during Sunday worship for fellowship activities and to plan community service activities as well as fun outings! In the past the TWIGS have raised money via a cookie sale to purchase goats for families in Tanzania, raised money during a Valentine fundraiser drive to support the American Heart Association, served dinners at a local homeless shelter, planted seasonal flowers in the TWIG garden, held a car wash to raise funds for an end of the year fun outing and other service activities. For fun the TWIGS have gone bowling, ice-skating, made local one day trips to Kings Dominion, Adventureland, played lazer tag, enjoyed a movie/game night at the fellowship hall in NBUMC and have gone rock climbing. Membership at NBUMC is not necessary to be a part of this great group. We are always looking for new TWIGS to join us.
