Rev. Debbie Scott has been the pastor at North Bethesda United Methodist Church since her appointment in July 1999. A graduate of American University and Wesley Seminary, Debbie started her ministry in 1977 as the youth director at Chevy Chase UMC where she served for four years. Before coming to NBUMC, she served in appointed pastoral positions at Colesville UMC, a 4-church charge in the Frederick District, Cape St. Clair UMC and the Mt. Tabor/Mt. Carmel charge in Laytonsville. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys golf, reading, vacationing at the beach and rooting for the Redskins and Orioles.
